Why stacks work

Real progress doesn't need to be complicated.

A stack isn't every good habit. It's the 20% of habits that deliver 80% of the outcome — simple enough to follow, focused enough to matter.

A stack is a focused set of 3–5 science-backed habits grouped around a real goal: more energy, stronger focus, calmer evenings, better sleep. Pick the outcome you want, then mix, match, and tweak the habits until the routine fits your life.

Tap any habit to learn how it helps.

Kickstart your day

Morning Momentum

Build energy, focus, and clarity

Start your day with 16oz of water

Even mild dehydration can affect mood, attention, and perceived energy, so water first thing can help restore your baseline after a night without fluids.

Go for a walk

A morning walk combines movement with daylight exposure, helping cue your circadian clock and support better alertness now and sleep timing later.

Eat a healthy-ish breakfast

A breakfast with protein and fiber can improve satiety and help keep energy steadier through the morning.

Mental clarity

Dial In

Focus on what matters most

Organize your workspace

Visual clutter competes for attention, and studies suggest messy environments can increase cognitive load and make focused work feel more mentally taxing.

Plan day on paper

Writing tasks down reduces the need to mentally “hold onto” them, freeing up working memory for deeper thinking and focus.

Get one meaningful thing done first

Early progress on meaningful work can reduce procrastination-related stress and create momentum that carries through the rest of the day.

Physical health

Move Your Body

Move more. Feel better.

Go for a walk

Walking is one of the most studied forms of exercise and is associated with improvements in cardiovascular health, mood, energy, and longevity.

Do 10 minutes of strength training

Strength training helps maintain muscle mass, which plays an important role in long-term health, mobility, and independence as we age.

Stretch for 5 minutes

Regular stretching can improve mobility and help maintain the range of motion needed for everyday movement.

A calmer mind

Get Organized

Clear clutter and stay on top of life

10-Minute Tidy

Visual clutter competes for attention, and cluttered environments have been associated with increased stress and cognitive load.

Handle one lingering task

Unfinished tasks tend to occupy mental space, and completing even one can reduce the mental burden of open loops.

Review your finances

Financial stress is often driven by uncertainty. Regularly reviewing your finances can increase awareness and reduce money-related anxiety.

Prioritize your to-do list

Prioritizing tasks reduces ambiguity, helping the brain focus on what matters most instead of trying to keep track of everything at once.

Inner calm

Recenter

Slow down and reset

Take 10 deep breaths

Slow, deliberate breathing can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping shift the body from a heightened state toward a calmer one.

Go for a walk

Walking can reduce mental fatigue and improve cognitive flexibility, while also creating space to process thoughts without constant stimulation.

Put your phone down for 15 minutes

Constant stimulation leaves little room for reflection, and even brief breaks from screens can help reduce cognitive overload.

Better sleep

Wind Down

Prepare your mind and body for sleep

Dim the lights 1 hour before bed

Bright light in the evening can suppress melatonin production, making it harder for your body to recognize that it’s time for sleep.

Do a light stretch or breathing exercise

Gentle movement and slow breathing can help reduce physical tension and signal to the body that it’s time to relax.

Read instead of scroll

Reading encourages sustained attention, while scrolling often provides a stream of stimulating content that can make it harder to unwind.

What to know before you start.

Quick answers about stacks, customization, accounts, and privacy.

A stack is a focused routine of 3–5 science-backed habits built around a real goal: more energy, stronger focus, calmer evenings, better sleep. Start with a stack, then adjust the habits until the routine fits your life.

Is DailyStack a habit tracker?

Yes — but you do not have to build everything from scratch. Each stack suggests a few science-backed habits to get you started. You can customize the habits to fit your goals, or create your own.

Can I customize a stack?

Yes. You can swap habits, remove what does not fit, reorder your routine, or build your own stack from scratch.

Can I schedule stacks and reminders?

Yes. You can schedule stacks for the days you want to do them and set reminders for a time that works for you.

Is DailyStack free?

DailyStack is free to start with a limited number of stacks and habits. DailyStack Premium unlocks unlimited stacks and habits. You can subscribe in the app through the App Store or Google Play.

Do I need an account?

You can start as a guest. Signing in with email, Google, or Apple backs up your stacks, progress, and preferences in case you reinstall the app, or sign in on another device.

How do you use my data?

DailyStack asks only for your name and email address when you sign in with Google or Apple, and uses them to create your account — nothing else. For the full picture of what's collected and how to reach us about privacy or data requests, read the privacy policy.

What happens if I cancel Premium?

Everything you built is saved. Habits beyond the free plan limit are paused rather than deleted, and you choose which ones stay active. You can resubscribe anytime to resume your paused habits.
